Established in 1979 by owner John Bowen
Our business has grown from a one-man mobile operation to a 35,000 square foot facility with several divisions and one hundred employees. The individual attention to each customer’s needs carries on and the exceptional quality of the finished product is well known throughout the state of Michigan and the United States.

About Our Facility
For over 25 years Dockside Canvas Company® has been the leader in the business of fabricating Custom Marine Canvas and Enclosures. Established in 1979 by owner John Bowen, it has grown from a one-man mobile operation to a 35,000 square foot facility with several divisions and a hundred employees.
Dockside Canvas Company® is located in Harrison Twp. Michigan, near the banks of the Clinton River and the shores of Lake St. Clair. Although the majority of our work is done for customers in Southeastern Michigan, we would be more than happy to talk to you about your canvas work, regardless of where you are located. We have a large selection of patterns available for a variety of makes and models. We have a large facility where you can bring your boat to us, or we can make arrangements to come to you.

All of our Custom Canvas products are made from the highest quality materials available that we use to fabricate a custom canvas for our customers. Attention to detail is a priority from the first measurements to the final installation. We take the time to listen to your needs so that we can use our knowledge and experience to create the best product for you. We here at Dockside Canvas Company® take pride in putting the Dockside Canvas Company® name on our finished products. Because all of our canvas products are custom made, we do not list prices on the website. You, as the customer, have options regarding the materials used and prices can vary.
